Position Overview:

The School Clinic Substitute Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides practical nursing services to students in a school clinic setting during the absence of the school nurse. The LPN works under the supervision of school administration and district nursing leadership to support daily clinic operations and student health needs.

Qualifications:

• Education: Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing (LPN) program.
• Licensure: Active, unrestricted LPN license (Georgia or Nurse Licensure Compact, if applicable). Current CPR certification required.

• Other requirements:

  • Completed fingerprint-based background check.
  • Completion of CCSD clinic substitute orientation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide basic nursing care and assist with student health needs.
• Administer medications and treatments as directed and permitted by licensure.
• Monitor student conditions and report changes to supervising personnel.
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation.
• Follow CCSD clinic procedures and safety protocols.
• Uphold student confidentiality and professional conduct standards.
