Position Overview
The Service Advisor is a customer-focused, service-driven role responsible for helping clients maintain safe, reliable, and efficient equipment operations.
This position works directly with warehouse and facility decision-makers to assess fleet condition, identify service needs, and develop proactive maintenance strategies that protect uptime and reduce operational disruption.
The ideal candidate understands material handling equipment at a technician level and can confidently:
• Evaluate repair needs
• Interpret service diagnostics
• Prepare detailed estimates
• Present data-driven recommendations
• Guide customers toward long-term service and lifecycle planning
This role blends technical knowledge, customer relationship management, fleet analytics, and revenue growth through service-based solutions — not transactional selling.
The Service Advisor is responsible for helping customers make informed decisions that improve reliability, reduce downtime, and control long-term maintenance costs.

Key Responsibilities
Customer Support & Uptime Advising
• Conduct site visits, fleet walk-throughs, and equipment condition assessments
• Evaluate operational risks that could impact uptime
• Serve as a trusted advisor to warehouse and facility managers
• Provide proactive recommendations to reduce emergency breakdowns
• Develop long-term maintenance strategies focused on reliability and lifecycle extension
• Position service solutions around uptime protection and operational efficiency

Technical Estimating & Solution Development
• Review technician diagnostics and inspection reports
• Prepare accurate repair, labor, and parts estimates
• Present repair vs. replace options with cost-benefit considerations
• Develop preventative maintenance, renewal, lease, and rental program proposals
• Support fleet renewal planning and scheduling
• Ensure estimate accuracy and job scope clarity

Data & Fleet Performance Analysis
• Track fleet performance trends including repair frequency, downtime patterns, and aging assets
• Prepare service summaries and equipment health insights for customers
• Use maintenance history and cost data to support proactive service recommendations
• Assist in forecasting renewal and replacement timelines
• Maintain accurate CRM records (HubSpot preferred) and pipeline visibility

Account Growth & Retention
• Identify opportunities to expand preventive maintenance and recurring service programs
• Follow up on open quotes and maintenance recommendations
• Support growth of recurring service agreements
• Maintain strong customer relationships through consistent communication
• Meet performance goals tied to service revenue, retention, and recurring revenue growth

Compensation Structure
• Base Salary: $50,000–$60,000 (based on experience)
• Uncapped commission on approved service agreements and repair solutions
• Performance bonuses tied to recurring revenue growth and customer retention
• Incentives structured around long-term service value and uptime protection

Qualifications
• 3–5+ years of experience in industrial equipment, service advising/coordination, or technical sales
• Strong working knowledge of material handling equipment
• Experience preparing repair estimates or reviewing service diagnostics
• Ability to translate technical findings into clear, data-supported customer recommendations
• Experience using CRM systems (HubSpot preferred)
• Self-motivated, professional, and relationship-driven
