AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Transportation ITS & Traffic Engineer to join our ITS/Traffic team. This is an entry-level position and is based out of Atlanta, GA.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in the planning, design, and production of engineering drawings.
• Participate in conducting engineering investigations and planning work by completing well-defined tasks. These tasks may include collection and analysis of data using established procedures, performance of routine calculations, and participation in evaluating the feasibility of alternate solutions.
• Prepare reports working under the close review of an experienced professional.
• Support staff on site visits by assisting in record-keeping and in generating progress reports.
• Research the feasibility of design approaches, site conditions, and/or regulatory agency specifications or regulations.
• Perform engineering calculations.
• Perform field observations of construction where appropriate.
• Perform other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.
• Coordinate within organization unit to ensure consistency with policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

• EXPERIENCE:
  • 0-2 Years of professional experience in related technical field.
• EDUCATION:
  • Completion of Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited college/university.
• SPECIAL SKILLS:
  • Basic computer skills required to enter data into spreadsheets or databases.
  • Math skills to perform simple calculations.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, or OpenRoads (preferred)
  • Proficient interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn!
• PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATIONS:
  • E.I. or E.I.T. (preferred)

Expected compensation range is between $56,700 - $94,500 annually/hourly depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
