Role summary
As a Senior Order Picker you’ll be the backbone of our outbound operation — moving large, heavy, and delicate furniture pieces from rack to pick cart, scanning with RF devices, and preparing shipments for on-time delivery. This is a physically active role that rewards attention to detail, safe habits, and teamwork.

Key responsibilities

• Safely pick, move, and stage large furniture items (typical weights up to ~150 lb) using order pickers and manual handling best practices

• Operate order picker / lift equipment and RF scanning devices to accurately pick and confirm orders

• Inspect items for damage, apply protective packaging, and label shipments correctly

• Follow SOPs and safety protocols (PPE, lift techniques, aisle/pallet safety) at all times

• Communicate shortages, damages, or process issues to supervisors and help improve workflows

• Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse floor

Minimum qualifications

• 1+ year experience operating order pickers / lifts in a furniture, appliance, or large-item DC (preferred)

• Comfortable moving 100–150 lb items safely—able to demonstrate proper lifting/partner-lift methods

• Experience using RF scanners / warehouse WMS or ShipWorks-like systems

• Dependable, punctual, and safety minded

• Ability to pass background check and any required certifications

Nice to have

• Forklift license or additional lift certifications

• Experience with racking systems for oversize goods and specialty packaging techniques

Physical requirements & work environment

• This role is physical: frequent lifting, bending, and standing; environment is warehouse floor with variable temperatures

• Must be able to work the assigned shift and occasional overtime during high volume periods
