Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients, including orthopedic cases
- Monitor patient status, perform assessments, administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Develop and update care plans; document in electronic medical records; communicate changes to the team
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and case management to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
- Ensure patient safety, pain management, infection prevention, and regulatory compliance
- Assist with perioperative care and postoperative recovery as needed; support patient and family education

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience, with orthopedic exposure preferred
- BLS for Healthcare Providers (American Heart Association) required
- NIH Certification required; ACLS certification preferred
- Ability to work a 12-hour night shift in a high-acuity inpatient unit
- Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, 32-bed private-room unit
- Must meet assignment-specific requirements for credentialing and onboarding
