Accounting Clerk – Lithonia, GA (Contract-to-Perm)
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Lithonia, Georgia. This is a contract-to-permanent position offering an excellent opportunity to support daily accounting operations and grow into a long-term role. The ideal candidate is accurate, organized, and comfortable handling both accounting tasks and general administrative duties.
Construction industry experience is a strong plus.
Candidates must be willing to become a Notary (or already be one) — the company will cover the cost.
W Responsibilities:
- Process Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Perform data entry to maintain and update financial records.
- Handle invoice processing and ensure all payments are properly documented.
- Work within accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Deltek ComputerEase) to manage financial data.
- Prepare lien waivers and support other construction-related administrative tasks.
- Assist with account reconciliations and help resolve discrepancies.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Maintain organized, secure financial records.
- Provide general administrative support, including ad hoc tasks as needed.
• Proficiency in accounting software like QuickBooks and Deltek ComputerEase.
• Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail.
• Familiarity with invoice processing and financial documentation.
• Knowledge of lien waivers and related compliance requirements.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
