Responsibilities

Position Summary: Join a high-volume, dynamic team supporting wholesale lockbox departments. You will be responsible for opening, processing, rejecting, and re-associating incoming mail daily based on customer instructions. This role requires speed, focus, and strict adherence to service level agreements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Open envelopes and accurately process or reject incoming mail per customer procedures.

• Follow a strict 5-step process to negotiate checks by verifying payee names, dollar amounts, MICR lines, and notations.

• Validate payees, number checks, and stamp documents with your processor ID.

• Digitally attach check images to the correct back-up documentation.

• Assist with error research, meet daily mail-out deadlines, and maintain quality control.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED; must be 18+ years old.

• 1 to 3 years of lockbox or related clerical/production experience.

• Basic computer, telephone, and adding machine skills.

• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.

• High attention to detail, critical thinking, and strong communication skills.

• Physical ability to sit for long periods and perform repetitive hand movements; may require bending, lifting, and standing.

• Ability to work overtime and holidays as needed to complete the workload.
