Summary of Position:

Engineers at Kimberly-Clark work as a member of a Research & Development (R&D) team to develop and implement new product, process, material or technology concepts. The engineer for this role will lead support activities on the FEI Emerging Materials team within Global R&D. The role is suitable for entry level or material engineers early in their professional career. Experience working in front end innovation or nonwoven technology roles is a desired skill, but not a requirement. Candidates will need to effectively interface with a broad range of team members, global customers, and manufacturing partners, so communication and collaboration are key skills. The engineer reports to a Senior R&D Manager and receives directions in the form of specific project objectives.

In this role, you will:

  • Support material innovation projects in the FEI innovation space through commercialization.
  • Plan and carry out projects responsibility with assistance and direction from project leaders and management.
  • Communicate and document project plans and results to key customers.
  • Provide functional support on projects focused on the innovation, design, development, and optimization of nonwoven materials
  • Provide protection to technologies, processes, materials, and products through appropriate use of patents and trade secrets.
  • Develop knowledge and skills to be recognized as an effective implementer of research principles, scientific analysis, and project management.
  • Seek, recognize, define, and solve problems to achieve unit objectives. Identify complex technical issues to determine root cause, develop and recommend solutions.

  • Candidates must possess a minimum of a Bachelor's or advanced degree in a related major scientific or engineering discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • A demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete projects within required timeframes.
  • Knowledge and background in Nonwovens field including product or technology understanding is ideal. A demonstrated ability to translate that knowledge into execution of material, process or product related initiatives would be helpful.

This is a P1/Grade 11 and compensation may vary based on location.

Salary Range: 78,660 – 92,980 USD

At Kimberly-Clark, pay is just one aspect of our total rewards package, which also includes a variety of benefits and opportunities to achieve, thrive and grow. Along with base pay, this position offers eligibility for a target bonus and a comprehensive benefits suite, including our 401(k) and Profit Sharing plan. The anticipated base pay range for this role is provided above for a fully qualified hire. Actual pay will depend on several factors, such as location, role, skills, performance, and experience. Please note that the stated pay range applies to US locations only.
