Senior Electrical Engineer (PE)

TRC is partnering with a privately held, multi-disciplinary engineering firm to identify a future leader for its electrical division. This is a succession-driven hire designed for an experienced PE who is ready to move beyond delivery work into leadership, mentorship, and eventual ownership within a growing professional services organization.

Summary

This role is centered on electrical design leadership across industrial, commercial, and high-tech infrastructure projects, including data centers, semiconductor manufacturing, warehousing, and retail development. The engineer will operate in a consulting-driven environment where project execution, client management, and billable performance are critical, while also supporting succession planning for the firms electrical practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute electrical design for diverse building and infrastructure projects

• Deliver solutions for industrial, warehousing, data center, manufacturing, and commercial developments

• Manage project budgets, schedules, and billable hours within a consulting services model

• Coordinate directly with clients, contractors, and internal multidisciplinary teams

• Provide technical leadership and quality oversight across electrical design deliverables

• Support succession planning efforts alongside senior electrical leadership

• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development as the practice scales

• Assist in business development activities and client relationship management

• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and engineering best practices

Requirements

• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Georgia

• 57 years of experience in building-related electrical design

• Strong understanding of consulting/professional services delivery models (billable hours, project profitability, client management)

• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD

• Experience across industrial, manufacturing, commercial, or mission-critical projects

• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and client relationships

• Strong communication and leadership capabilities

• Desire for long-term growth into leadership, equity, or ownership track

• Comfortable working in a hybrid onsite structure (4 days in office, half-day Fridays)
