Fuel Distribution System Worker Supervisor

- The work requires the employee to drive a motor vehicle. An appropriate, valid driver’s license is required for the work of the position.
- Incumbent must possess or have the capability to acquire a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and any required endorsements within 12 months of assignment. This requirement is a condition of employment.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate HAZMAT training and/or certification IAW governing agencies requirements.
- Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.
- The employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
- Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
- Utilizes required security and safety practices and procedures. The employee will wear protective safety equipment and clothing when appropriate.
- Incumbent will be required to wear foot, eye and ear protective gear and cotton clothing in performing duties.
- This position requires the incumbent to pass a pre-employment physical examination and annually thereafter.
- Serves as a working supervisor who, on occasion, will assist in the fuel handling activities, i.e. driving a refueling vehicle, receiving/transferring incoming petroleum fuel and cryogenic products, and issuing petroleum products to containers and refueling units through fill stands. Supervisor will assist in the Fuels Service Center as a controller utilizing Fuels Manager Defense program to input data to dispatch runs, record disaster preparedness actions/weather warnings and issue clipboards and keys.
- Knowledge of a wide range of principles, processes, and techniques of fuels operations functions and work of personnel supervised and personnel management policies, practices, and procedures.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of the use and maintenance of fuels dispensing facilities, vehicles, equipment and precision measuring and/or test equipment common to fuels operations supervised.
- Ability to read and interpret regulations, guidelines, checklists, diagrams, sketches, environmental, quality and technical specifications.
- Ability to plan and organize work assignments to include determining resources required to accomplish the mission.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
