We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Estimator to join our team in Savannah and play a key role in ensuring accurate project planning, execution, and client satisfaction. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates, managing bid packages, and supporting projects from pre-construction through completion. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to collaborate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements:Responsibilities:
- Review and fully understand project scope, drawings, and specifications.
- Assemble complete bid packages, including detailed scope breakdowns and subcontractor requirements.
- Perform accurate material and labor takeoffs.
- Prepare detailed and competitive cost estimates.
- Obtain supplier quotes, compare pricing, and assist with procurement planning.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather required project information.
- Maintain organized records of proposals, estimates, and supporting documentation.
- Prepare, submit, and track change order documentation.
- Ensure all documentation is accurate, thorough, and up to date.
- Maintain client follow-up to ensure satisfaction and develop ongoing relationships.
- Manage projects from start to finish, identifying and documenting changes as they occur.
- Price and submit change orders for approval.
- Coordinate with field crews, subcontractors, and suppliers on all approved changes.
- Communicate impacts of changes to clients clearly and proactively.
- Track, log, and maintain records of change orders.
- Update project budgets and forecasts as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an estimator in construction, engineering, or related field preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction documents, specifications, and project management practices.
- Proficiency in estimating software, spreadsheets, and project management tools.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
