We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented Front Desk Assistant with proven experience in a medical office setting and proficiency in eClinicalWorks (eCW). The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, delivering a welcoming experience while ensuring efficient, accurate, and ethical management of front office operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients, visitors, and vendors in a professional and courteous manner.
• Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, including verifying insurance and demographic information.
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments using eClinicalWorks.
• Collect co-pays, balances, and maintain accurate payment records.
• Answer multi-line phone system; route calls and take messages as appropriate.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and office privacy standards.
• Ensure accuracy of patient records and documentation in eCW.
• Assist with prior authorizations, referrals, and coordination of care as needed.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to support patient flow and office efficiency.
• Perform general administrative duties such as scanning, faxing, and filing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of medical front desk or medical receptionist experience (required).
• Hands-on experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) EMR system (required).
• Strong understanding of medical insurance verification and billing basics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong ethics and discretion in handling confidential information.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other office technology.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in a specialty practice (e.g., dermatology)
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
