Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care to surgical patients across preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Assess patient needs, participate in planning, implement care, and document perioperative activities; maintain sterile technique and patient safety; administer medications per protocol within the anesthesia and surgeon plan.
- Uphold professional practice standards in accordance with the Georgia Nursing Practice Act and the ANA Code of Ethics; advocate for patients and uphold safety and quality.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the health care team; support patient-centered care and service-excellence goals; adhere to policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with licensed and unlicensed staff; contribute to evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and a respectful, safe perioperative environment.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Georgia
- Perioperative/operating room nursing experience or demonstrated perioperative competencies
- Ability to work in a hospital perioperative setting and respond to intraoperative events
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; commitment to patient safety and ethical nursing practice
- Able to follow established policies, procedures, and scopes of practice for perioperative care
