About the Facility:
Advocate Southeast is a prominent teaching hospital with 637 licensed beds, a Level 1 Trauma designation, and accredited centers for Chest Pain and Stroke. The facility is committed to providing exceptional patient care and fostering a collaborative work environment.

Department Overview:

• Average daily patient census: 100 patients (inpatients, outpatients, ER)
• Minimum of 4 years of CT experience required to ensure proficiency and independence.
• The department utilizes Philips PACS for imaging storage and works with GE CT scanners.
• Epic EMR system for patient records and documentation.
• Support for float within inpatient and ER settings as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality CT scans accurately and efficiently while maintaining patient safety.
• Initiate IVs as needed and ensure proper equipment setup.
• Follow department protocols and maintain compliance with hospital policies.
• Provide compassionate patient care during imaging procedures, including inpatients, outpatients, and ER patients.
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members to deliver optimal diagnostic results.
• Adhere to all safety standards and maintain equipment as required.
• Discuss and coordinate support needs during the interview process.

Support and Orientation:

• One day of departmental orientation, including facility and unit-specific training.
• Discussed support within the department during the interview process.

Scheduling & Additional Details:

• No weekend rotation or on-call responsibilities.
• Will work during holidays falling within the contract duration.
• RTO (Request for Time Off) must be approved by management.
• Variable shift times within the 12-hour night shift cycle.
• Work schedule follows a 13-week rotation.
• Scrub color: Black
• Parking fee: $7.00 for deck parking (biweekly).

What You Bring:

• Proven expertise in CT imaging with at least 4 years of relevant experience , ensuring confidence and independence in performing scans.
• Current ARRT (CT) certification and BLS certification are mandatory.
• Ability to initiate IVs and operate advanced imaging equipment accurately.
• Strong understanding of department protocols, safety standards, and patient care practices.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Flexibility to work variable night shifts in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Education & Experience:

• Associate’s degree or higher in Radiologic Technology or related field.
• Prior experience working in a Level 1 Trauma center or teaching hospital preferred.
• Experience with GE CT scanners, Philips PACS, and Epic EMR system is highly desirable.
