Technical Product Landscape Manager

The Advanced Technology Group (ATG) is the research division of the company. ATG’s mission is to look ahead, deliver insights, and innovate technological solutions that will fuel Dolby’s continued growth. Our researchers have a broad range of expertise related to computer science and electrical engineering, such as AI/ML, algorithms, digital signal processing, audio engineering, image processing, computer vision, data science & analytics, distributed systems, cloud, edge & mobile computing, computer networking, and IoT.
The Big Idea Innovation organization within ATG aims at diversifying Dolby’s portfolio by developing differentiated technologies enabling new revenue streams. We have an innovation pipeline where ideas go through a proposal, ideation and incubation process. Our focus in Big Idea Innovation team is to generate new high potential opportunities for Dolby. Our job is to disrupt, to provoke thoughts, and to spark conversations by challenging the established practices and thinking differently. Our team owns the process that takes in and prioritizes both top-down and bottom-up ideas.
What you’ll do
We are seeking an experienced, business-savvy professional to join our Big Idea Innovation team and serve as a key driver in evaluating and shaping new ideas from a commercial perspective. As a Senior Innovation Market Analyst, you will leverage your deep knowledge of business development, go-to-market strategies, industry trends, and product-market fit to guide innovative concepts from inception to impactful market opportunities. Key Responsibilities:
- Market Understanding and Competitive Analysis
- Conduct market assessments, build competitive landscapes, and evaluate trends to identify business opportunities
- Develop and validate product-market fit in collaboration with R&D and product teams to refine concepts, ensuring alignment with customer needs and potential market demand
- Strategy and Business Development
- Create go-to-market strategies including potential launch plans, target segments, distributional channels, pricing/packaging, and opportunity models
- Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships, alliances, and collaborations to accelerate market entry or expansion.
- Product Innovation
- Contribute to product management activities for early-stage innovation projects like presenting demos to key partners and analyzing the feedback for product iteration
- Manage innovation pipeline and help project leads think through product value propositions and hypotheses
- Stakeholder Management and Communication
- Present analyses and recommendations to stakeholders across the organization, including research, design, business, marketing, and executive teams to accelerate projects
- Collaborate with diverse teams, presenting your insights and recommendations to drive innovation across Dolby
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required with 5+ years of experience in tech-oriented business roles (e.g., product management, business development, strategy consulting)
OR
- MBA preferred (or relevant Master's degree in Business, Strategy, Product Management, or related field) with 3+ years of experience in tech-oriented business roles
- Strong analytical skills with experience in market sizing, trend analysis, and financial modeling
- Comfortable working with technical teams and technologies such as AI/ML, cloud, edge computing, audio/video processing, multimodal experiences. ( Prior experience with technology startups is highly desirable)
- Experience with business analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, SiSense) and market analysis platforms (e.g. CB Insights, Pitchbook, Statista, Crunchbase, etc.)
- Proven track record of developing go-to-market strategies
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
Desired Experience:
- Experience in innovation or new product development
- Background in technology startups or venture capital
- Understanding of various business/revenue models
- Experience in entrepreneurial ventures or product incubation

The Atlanta area base salary range for this full-time position is $137,600-$168,200 which can vary if outside this location, plus bonus, benefits, and some roles may also include equity. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, competencies, experience, market demands, internal parity, and relevant education or training.
