The opportunity
As Site Head of Supply Chain, you will provide leadership and direction to facilitate the planning and execution of the Site Supply Chain activities.
You will oversee site operations including planning, customer services & shipping (including graphics and packaging) warehousing and distribution.
You will work in close cooperation with the other site departments like production, quality, finance and MS&T to drive the site’s plan, supporting the our journey producing our generic medicines, complex sterile products and dedicated cancer treatments.
How you’ll spend your day
- Direct / oversee contract manufacturing, packaging, labeling, warehouse operation and international shipping/distribution for products, ensuring on time delivery (drug supply).
- Lead the site S&OP planning cycle for all production work centers.
- Closely interface with Production, Quality Assurance, MS&T and Regulatory Affairs to ensure materials are available as required.
- Continuously track progress towards objectives and advise management team of any issues impacting project timelines and provide solutions to the problems.
- Lead activities to design and implement inventory management processes, Supply Chain planning processes and distribution systems consistent with meeting cGMP, development programs, local and corporate objectives.
- Project Management – Site to site transfer project, managing and developing robust processes/procedures related to supply chain activities in compliance with local and global regulations.
- Establish SOP’s, protocols and procedures for material packaging, labeling and distribution to ensure compliance with cGXP requirements.
- Evaluate processes, identify and implement improvement opportunities relating to the Supply Chain area as and when required.
- Manage budget for Supply Chain operations.
- Coaching and mentoring the Supply Chain team.
- This role is part of the Site Leadership Team.
Your experience and qualifications
- At least 7-10 years of experience in a leading Supply Chain position in a multinational matrix organization.
- Experience in supply chain operations, logistics, distribution, preferably with knowledge of cGMP principles and International distribution experience in the Pharmaceutical industry.
- 5 + Years’ of Project Management Experience.
- Preferably, strong knowledge and understanding of GMP’s, IGXP Guidelines and Pharmaceutical Supply Chain.
- Experience of preparing and managing budgets.
- APICS qualification is a pré
- Knowledge of Planning software like SAP or BPCS
- GMP knowledge
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication skills.
- Well-developed influencing skills and genuine interest in building relationships across functional areas.
- Agile & flexible, willingness to learn and take on new tasks.
- Team oriented; working with (multicultural) teams.
- Fluent in English (verbally and written) and preferably fluent in Dutch.
