Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a real difference in the lives of students by supporting K-5 learners as an Occupational Therapist in a dynamic school setting near Rockmart, GA. This part-time contract position starts immediately and extends for the full academic year. You’ll be a key resource within the educational community, helping children maximize their participation and independence in the classroom environment.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license
- Proven experience or strong interest in working with elementary-aged children
- Familiarity with school-based therapy practices and procedures
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments for K-5 students
- Develop and implement effective, individualized treatment plans
- Work closely with educators, families, and support staff to maximize student progress
- Document and track goals, accommodations, and therapy outcomes
- Deliver direct and consultative services in accordance with IEPs
- Participate in IEP meetings and student success planning
- Encourage students’ skill development in fine motor, sensory, and adaptive areas
- Maintain compliance with school policies and regulatory guidelines
