Visitor Services Associate
- Visitor Services
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Previous customer service, retail or hospitality experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to operate computers, point-of-sale systems, and handle transactions accurately
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a team environment
- Enthusiasm for history, cultural, and guest service
- May be required to lift up to 25lbs for boxes containing promotional materials
- Ability to work in varying types of weather conditions
- Flexible schedule required to include weekends, and holidays. May include occasional evenings for special events
- Greet and assist visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Process admissions, memberships, and event tickets accurately using point-of-sale systems
- Provide information about Middleton Place history, gardens, exhibits, tours, and events using printed materials, informational signs, and interpretive panels
- Promote and sell memberships, special programs, and retail items
- Assist with crowd flow, directions, and accessibility needs to enhance the visitor experience
- Handle cash and credit card transactions, and maintain accurate sales records
- Support visitor safety by monitoring guest activity and following established procedures
- Assist with group arrivals, school programs, and special events as needed
- Assist visitors in planning various tours during their visit
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas
- Uphold Middleton Place Foundation’s mission of preservation, education, and hospitality
- Direct cars or drive golf cart during special events such as weddings, or other after-hour functions
- Assist cart tour guides when necessary
