Energy Vanguard is looking for a residential HVAC designer. This position is for someone with strong technical skills who is interested in working in the growing field of high-performance buildings, energy efficiency, and building science.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• Technical aptitude, including good math skills
• Science, engineering, or design background
• Proficiency with Windows, MS Office, and other computer skills
• Ability to read house plans
• Strong work ethic
• Desire to learn, ability to overcome obstacles, and positive attitude

HVAC, construction, or building science background will be helpful but isn't necessary. Knowledge of RightSuite Universal HVAC design software is also helpful but not necessary.

In this position, you will:

• Work with the HVAC design team at Energy Vanguard
• Complete HVAC design jobs, start to finish
• Communicate with clients
• Assist with HVAC design reporting and record keeping
• Provide support in other areas when needed
• Work in our Decatur, GA office (preferred) or remotely (for the right candidate)

We have a retirement plan (SIMPLE IRA). We don't have a group health insurance plan but can reimburse you for health insurance premiums.
