Sr. Product Manager - Transmission Services
Help shape next-gen grid resilience solutions
Our client is seeking a Senior Product Manager - Utility Solutions is responsible for driving product strategy, roadmap execution, and cross-functional delivery for the company's utility infrastructure products and services.
This role supports the development, enhancement, and commercialization of steel structure assessment, maintenance, engineering, restoration, and grid-resilience offerings.
The role collaborates with Engineering, Operations, Solutions, and Business Development to translate market needs into actionable product requirements and contribute to innovation initiatives that strengthen our position in the transmission asset management market.
Responsibilities:*Market Dynamics:
• Monitor market dynamics, customer challenges, competitive offerings, and emerging technologies shaping the utility sector.
• Develop and maintain strong working knowledge of utility infrastructure markets, transmission infrastructure, asset lifecycle management, grid resilience challenges, and operational priorities.
• Stay informed on relevant industry standards, infrastructure degradation modes, environmental risks, regulatory trends, and utility modernization initiatives.
- Contribute to portfolio strategy development and maintain product roadmaps.
- Develop business cases and support prioritization of enhancements and service expansions.
- Define product requirements and success metrics for new/existing transmission offerings.
- Identify opportunities for optimization, operational efficiency, and scalability. * New Solution Development :
- Partner with other teams to translate market needs into technical requirements.
- Support pilot programs/field evaluations to validate performance.
- Assist in developing standardized methodologies, procedures, and documentation to support consistent delivery. * Cross-Functional Collaboration :
- Work with others to understand customer challenges and ensure solutions align with market demand.
- Collaborate with Operations to ensure product readiness and field adoption.
- Support integration of new products into systems, workflows, and training programs. * Market & Competitive Analysis:
- Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer feedback to inform product improvements.
- Support pricing strategy and positioning recommendations.
- Provide data-driven insights to support portfolio decisions. * Sales Enablement & Customer Support :
- Serve as a product resource in key customer discussions and proposal efforts.
- Develop product materials including presentations, case studies, FAQs, and technical documentation.
- Support value-proposition and competitive positioning. * Launch & Adoption Support :
- Assist with rollout planning, training coordination, KPI tracking, and post-launch performance monitoring.
- Gather customer and operational feedback. Qualifications :
- BS degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or similar is preferred. MBA a plus.
- 8–12 years of experience in product management, engineering, technical services, or related work within utilities.
- Product development experience including the launch of new products or services including GTM strategy, business case development, etc.
- Understanding of utility transmission, infrastructure, asset management, or industrial operational environments.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to influence without direct authority.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-driven, organized, and capable of managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
