We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Associate to join our team. Duties

• Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored product recommendations.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, returns, and exchanges.
• Demonstrate products effectively to enhance customer understanding and encourage purchases.
• Assist in supervising junior staff members to ensure smooth operations during shifts.
• Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays and ensuring products are stocked appropriately.
• Perform stocking duties to keep shelves full and organized, ensuring products are easily accessible.
• Utilize retail math skills for inventory management and sales tracking.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, adhering to cash handling policies.
• Provide excellent phone etiquette when addressing customer inquiries or concerns.
• Upsell products where appropriate to maximize sales opportunities.
• Foster a welcoming environment through effective communication and customer service.

Skills

• Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating positive shopping experiences.
• Proficiency in operating POS systems and handling cash transactions.
• Experience in retail sales, including knowledge of grocery store operations.
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and inventory management.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage with customers and team members.
• Ability to demonstrate products confidently during product demos.
• Supervising experience is a plus for those interested in leadership roles within the store.
• Bilingual capabilities are desirable to assist a diverse customer base.
