Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Tax Manager to oversee our tax department. The successful candidate will manage tax compliance, strategic planning, and reporting activities while ensuring regulatory accuracy and delivering exceptional service to clients. This role also includes mentoring staff, optimizing internal workflows, and contributing to business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

● Prepare and review complex federal and multi-state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S-corporations, and trusts
● Manage tax engagement workflows, team workload distribution, and project timelines
● Mentor junior staff and lead internal tax training programs
● Build strong client relationships and serve as the main tax contact
● Research complex tax issues and provide technical consultations
● Support firm growth through business development and community engagement

Qualifications:

● CPA license and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (Master’s in Taxation preferred)
● Minimum 7 years of recent public accounting tax experience
● Strong understanding of multi-state taxation and pass-through entity returns
● Excellent leadership, communication, and mentoring skills
● Proficiency with tax research tools and software such as CCH, RIA, and ProSystem fx
