To learn more about Georgia Southern's Vision, Mission and Values please click here: Location Statesboro Campus - Statesboro, GA Department Information Research Services and Sponsored programs Job Summary The Postdoctoral Research Associate will contribute to foundational evidence for broad, biogeographic-scale studies on coastal resources by leveraging existing data sets on oyster population genetics, long-term disease data, and oyster microbiome data. The postdoc will be expected to synthesize data, prepare manuscripts and proposals, and mentor undergraduate and graduate students. Responsibilities

- PhD in Biology, Marine Science, Environmental Science or related field
Required Experience
- Laboratory experience in molecular techniques, data analysis, and manuscript preparation.
- Field work in challenging conditions
- Experience with oysters or other shellfish
