Job Summary

The Postdoctoral Research Associate will contribute to foundational evidence for broad, biogeographic-scale studies on coastal resources by leveraging existing data sets on oyster population genetics, long-term disease data, and oyster microbiome data. The postdoc will be expected to synthesize data, prepare manuscripts and proposals, and mentor undergraduate and graduate students.

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
  • PhD in Biology, Marine Science, Environmental Science or related field


Required Experience

  • Laboratory experience in molecular techniques, data analysis, and manuscript preparation.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Experience
  • Field work in challenging conditions
  • Experience with oysters or other shellfish
  • Experience with mentoring and training students

Proposed Salary

$53,996.80

This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.
