The Goddard School located in Alpharetta, GA 30022 is seeking a passionate and nurturing Lead Infant Teacher to join our dedicated team. Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum and Instruction
Implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans and activities using our exclusive Wonder of Learning curriculum to support each infants cognitive, physical, and emotional development. - Classroom Management
Create and maintain a warm, safe, and nurturing classroom environment that supports exploration and comfort for infants as young as 6 weeks old. - Family Communication
Establish and maintain open, positive communication with families, sharing updates on daily routines, developmental milestones, and care needs. - Health and Safety
Ensure the health, hygiene, and safety of each infant by following all licensing regulations, including diapering, feeding, napping, and supervising indoor/outdoor activities. - Assessment and Documentation
Observe, assess, and document each childs developmental progress and share insights with families and leadership. - Professional Development
Participate in ongoing training and development to continually improve teaching strategies and child care practices. - Team Collaboration
Work closely with Assistant Teachers and support staff to ensure a consistent and caring classroom experience. - Behavior Guidance
Promote positive behavior through gentle, developmentally appropriate guidance and responsive caregiving.
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential preferred
- 12 years of experience working with infants or young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting preferred
- Must have completed all state-required pre-service training
- Strong communication skills and a passion for working with babies and families
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the care of young children
