Job Description

Crawford Orthodontic Care, PC is seeking an experienced and motivated Orthodontic Financial Processer to join our patient-centered practice. If you have a strong background in orthodontic, dental, or medical billing and thrive in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

• Review and present financial treatment plans to patients and families

• Set up payment arrangements and assist with third-party financing

• Verify insurance benefits and handle pre-authorizations

• Submit insurance claims and follow up on denials or delays

• Reconcile Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and patient ledgers

• Follow up on outstanding balances with professionalism and tact

• Generate financial and A/R reports for internal use

• Ensure all billing practices comply with HIPAA and industry regulations

Qualifications

Required:

• 2+ years of experience in orthodontic, dental, or medical billing

• Familiarity with orthodontic practice management software (e.g., Dolphin, OrthoTrac, WaveOrtho, Open Dental)

• Strong knowledge of insurance verification and claims processing

• High attention to detail and organizational skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Preferred:

• Certification in dental/medical billing (e.g., CMRS, CDA)

• Experience with Medicaid or orthodontic benefit programs

• Understanding of orthodontic coding and terminology
