Skunk Works Software Engineer Sr (Level 3)

**Description:** The Skunk Works is looking for a software engineer to be part of a team building air vehicle systems\. The candidate will use existing and developing skills in a variety of software programming languages and tools, such as C, C\+\+, Python, XML, Visual Studio, Eclipse, and VxWorks\. Candidate may build software for air vehicle systems, ground systems, and/or modeling and simulation systems that support production and research and development\. **Basic Qualifications:** Bachelors degree or above from an accredited college in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline\. Experience programming in at least one computer programming language \(e\.g\. C, C\+\+, Python, or Java\) Must be a US citizen\. This position requires special access and a Secret clearance updated within the last 6 years to be considered\. **Desired Skills:** Demonstrated experience with the following: - Development of real\-time systems or use of real\-time operating systems \(RTOS\), such as Wind River VxWorks or Green Hills Integrity - The software development process in a team environment \(peer reviews, unit testing, configuration management, defect tracking\) - Integrating hardware and software - Collaborate with cross\-functional teams to ensure alignment between software, hardware, and systems engineering\. - Experience working in DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines - Experience with configuration management tools like Gitlab/Github - Experience working on an agile software team - Experience working in a Linux environment - Experience with MBSE \(Tools like Cameo, modeling standards such as UML, UAF, SysML, etc\.\) - Ability to build and maintain relationships, collaborate with others, engage in constructive conflict, and manage interpersonal dynamics - Strong decision making and judgment - Oral and written communication skills **Security Clearance Statement:** This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration\. **Clearance Level:** Secret **Other Important Information You Should Know** **Expression of Interest:** By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match\.
