Founding Product Manager, New AI Products
Job Description
Job Description
About the Company:
At Playlist, life's richest moments happen when people step away from screens to move, connect, explore, and play. We're building the definitive platform for intentional living, connecting people with inspiring experiences in fitness, wellness, and beyond. With popular brands like Mindbody and ClassPass, Playlist empowers businesses and individuals, making it effortless for aspirations to become actions. Join us in reshaping technology's role to foster meaningful, real-world connections.
About the TeamWe're building new, AI-native vertical software that extends Playlist's mission to empower wellness businesses across more of the health and wellness market. We are looking for entrepreneurial, high-ownership product managers who can drive the full product lifecycle of 0→1 solutions for SMB operators, defining their operating tools and workflows, ensuring seamless onboarding and adoption, and building a long-term roadmap that grows with them.
As the Founding Product Manager for new verticals, you'll work as part of a small, fast-moving founding team (engineering leader, design, and ops). You'll be expected to go into the field to learn alongside wellness business operators, designing and iterating on product requirements, validating concepts, and leveraging AI to both accelerate how we build and drive genuinely new customer experiences.
The Role You'll Play- Own, evolve, and champion the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for new vertical SMB products, aligned with our broader company vision and product ecosystem
- Drive our AI-native design philosophy: where AI replaces workflow, where it consults, and where it automates on behalf of the customer. Software that works while they're with a client.
- Get into the field. Build direct relationships with practitioners, understand their unmet needs, and iterate live on what you learn
- Work directly with a small engineering and design team to ship fast; own the roadmap, the spec, and the release
- Partner with Playlist's GTM team to shape pricing, positioning, and a product-led growth motion that drives adoption
- Bring high agency and creativity to every stage of the build, from blank page to a product customers can't imagine running their business without
- 7+ years of product experience, with experience building tools that real businesses depend on day-to-day
- You've shipped 0→1 products and successfully scaled the customer base. You can walk through what broke, what worked, and what you'd do differently
- You've built with AI or built AI-native products. You have real opinions on where LLMs break, how to design for probabilistic outputs, and how to earn user trust in an AI-driven experience
- You think like a GM. You've shaped positioning, influenced pricing and ICP definitions, and can articulate why a unit works, not just what to build
- You're comfortable with ambiguity and high agency. You move without being told, define your own priorities, and thrive when the roadmap is yours to create
- You've worked in a startup-stage environment and are motivated by building something that drives real outcomes
- Bonus: experience in health, wellness, fitness, or service-business SMB. You understand the texture of running a small practice or studio
It is the Company's intent to pay all Team Members competitive wages and salaries that are motivational, fair and equitable. The goal of Company's compensation program is to be transparent, attract potential employees, meet the needs of all current employees, and encourage Team Members to stay with our organization.
