Job Title: Utility Operator

Job Description

We are looking for Utility Operators to join our growing team in Smithfield, GA ! In this role you will be responsible for operating forklifts, communicating with colleagues regarding equipment operation, monitoring flow rate changes, processing capabilities, reading safety and maintenance issues, paperwork, sanitation, and food safety requirements. The ideal candidate will have prior experience operating forklifts in an indoor setting, we offer great compensation, work culture and opportunities for growth. Shift: 7am to 3:30

Pay: 15-17/hr

MUST be able to work 13 days straight during peak season

Responsibilities

• Essentially a FLOATER role:
• Communicate with colleagues regarding operation of equipment, changes in flow rates, and processing capabilities.
• Laod machines, make pallets, stage products, unload products.
• Address safety and maintenance issues promptly.
• Complete necessary paperwork and ensure sanitation and food safety requirements are met.
• Clean the grounds, building, and roof to remove peanut debris.
• Empty outdoor trash cans.
• Work in various areas of the plant to cover for vacations and absences.

Essential Skills

• Experience in the manufacturing industry.
• Efficiently operate equipment.
• Flexibility with responsibilities.
• Cross trainable.
• Ability to work in various departments and positions throughout the plant.
• Effective communication skills.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Smithville, GA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $17.00/hr.
