Per Diem School-Based Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Rock Spring, GA
This per diem position is designed for Licensed Practical Nurses dedicated to supporting students academic, behavioral, and social development within a school environment. Providing individualized assistance under teacher guidance, this role plays a vital part in fostering a safe and inclusive learning atmosphere.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver 1:1 or small group academic, behavioral, and social support aligned with teacher instructions
- Assist students with daily routines, transitions, and active participation in classroom activities
- Implement behavior support plans and adhere to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide support with mobility, supervision, and personal care as needed
- Help maintain a respectful, safe, and inclusive learning environment conducive to student growth
Qualifications:
- Active LPN license in Alabama (AL)
- Minimum age of 18 years
- Compliance with TB testing per district requirements
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as necessary
- Current clearances or willingness to obtain prior to employment
Preferred Experience:
- Background in school settings, special education, behavioral health, or child care
- Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
- Certification or experience in CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention), PMT (Positive Management Techniques), or RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) is advantageous
- Demonstrated reliability, patience, and a team-oriented mindset
