Engineering Manager – Capital Projects & Plant Operations

$115,000 to $135,000 plus Bonus

This is a hands-on plant engineering role for an engineer who wants to stay close to the floor, lead capital projects, and drive operational improvements with a world class manufacturer that truly takes care of it's people. You will lead engineering, manage active plant projects, support daily operations, improve equipment reliability, and work directly with maintenance, production, and engineering teams.

This is not a desk-only management role. The plant needs a working leader who can lead projects, troubleshoot equipment, coordinate contractors, and keep manufacturing running.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead plant capital projects from planning through execution
• Manage equipment upgrades, expansions, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Drive increased production capacity and equipment reliability
• Work directly with maintenance and operations teams on the plant floor
• Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment, controls, steam systems, and automated equipment
• Support electricians and mechanics with technical problem solving
• Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and material planning
• Coordinate contractors, maintenance activities, and work orders
• Improve PM compliance, asset utilization, and maintenance performance metrics
• Evaluate repair vs. replacement decisions for plant equipment and facilities
• Ensure compliance with safety, maintenance, and regulatory standards
• Support plant improvements, shutdown planning, and facility upgrades

What They Want

• US Citizenship or Permanent Residency (Green Card) are Non-negotiable Requirements.

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering required

• More than 3 years experience leading engineers, maintenance and technical teams as a plant engineer, engineering supervisor, or maintenance manager.

• Background in manufacturing, industrial plants, production, fabrication, or heavy industrial environments
• Experience managing capital projects inside an operating manufacturing facility
• Strong knowledge of industrial maintenance and manufacturing equipment
• Experience with continuous manufacturing processes, steam systems, and automated packaging equipment
• Working knowledge of blueprints, industrial construction projects, and building codes
• Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or Six Sigma exposure is beneficial
