The Intensive Family Intervention (IFI) Team Lead will be primarily responsible for supervising the Intensive Family Intervention staff/team and successfully managing program services. This individual is also responsible for providing direct services to clients in accordance with the Department of Mental Health and Addictive Disease (MHDDAD) guidelines while maintaining public awareness of program services.

Team Lead Responsibilities

  • Provide direct supervision and oversight of all assigned team members to ensure clients receive services at the authorized frequency , in full compliance with program, payer, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assign and manage caseloads for all staff , ensuring clarity, balance, and accountability. Provide consistent oversight, guidance, and support for newly assigned staff during the initial introduction and rapport-building period of at least two (2) weeks following assignment.
  • Monitor service delivery and proactively identify and address barriers to engagement , including staffing shortages, scheduling challenges, family availability, and service access issues.
  • Ensure complete documentation compliance , including timely and accurate contact notes, progress notes, crisis documentation, weekly supervision documentation , and any other required reports or documentation as mandated by program standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide coverage in the event of staffing deficiencies to maintain continuity of care, including face-to-face therapeutic services as required.
  • Facilitate weekly caseload review meetings to assess client progress, service utilization, engagement concerns, and corrective action plans.
  • Conduct individual and group staff supervisions to provide guidance, coaching, performance feedback, and professional support.
  • Provide clinical guidance and ongoing training to all team members to strengthen service quality, ethical practice, skill development, and adherence to treatment plans.
  • Maintain direct client contact at a minimum of two (2) contacts per month , with eligibility for incentive pay for client contacts exceeding the assigned caseload census.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for all crisis-related incidents , providing immediate guidance to ensure client safety , appropriate crisis intervention , and compliance with state-mandated reporting requirements .
  • Collaborate consistently with internal service providers , external partners, and referral sources to support coordinated care and positive client outcomes.
  • Serve as a point of accountability for team performance, service delivery outcomes, and adherence to organizational policies, standards, and expectations .

Qualifications:

  • Master’s level degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field of study from an accredited college and/or university
  • Active professional licensure (in good standing and in the state of Georgia), such as LCSW or LPC
  • At least two (2) years of post-master’s degree experience in a clinical practice role
  • At least one (1) year of experience supervising others and a team, strongly preferred
  • Bilingual skills advantageous
  • Experience in substance abuse treatment or CADC (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor) certification is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to perform excellent clinical, therapeutic and crisis intervention skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of state systems and guidelines regarding provision of services to client populations in accordance with MHDDAD/MRO and DCH services standards
  • Computer and typing skills sufficient to perform essential job functions
  • Active motor vehicle license and a reliable transportation with adequate insurance coverage
  • Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries
  • Subscription to and integration of the agency Mission Statement and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Commitment.

Additional Information

  • Job Type: Full-time, 1099
  • Job Location Type: Hybrid - Applicants either must reside in or have reliable transportation to provide in-person services within Fulton/DeKalb and Gwinnett County, GA. Travel to client homes and community locations as required, with willingness to commute up to 1 hour for client sessions.
  • Schedule Requirements: Must be flexible to work after-school hours and weekends in order to accommodate the needs of the clients served. With availability to provide services during morning, afternoon, and/or evening hours . Be flexible to meet the scheduling needs of the parent/guardian.
  • Pay Rate: $53,080 - 100,000 per year
