Position Summary
The Imaging Scheduling Liaison serves as a key coordination point between providers, patients, and the imaging department to ensure accurate, timely, and professional scheduling of diagnostic imaging services. This role supports patient access and operational efficiency by managing imaging orders, appointments, and workflow within the EPIC electronic health record system.
The Imaging Scheduling Liaison delivers a high standard of customer service while interfacing with patients and clinical partners via phone and email. Responsibilities include entering and scheduling imaging orders, monitoring EPIC work queues, and supporting smooth patient throughput across imaging modalities in a high-volume healthcare environment.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of two (2) years of job-related experience in a high-volume healthcare environment
Experience entering and managing data within an electronic health record (EHR) system
Working knowledge of medical terminology
Basic computer proficiency, including data entry and navigation of clinical systems
Understanding of radiology department workflows and common imaging modalities
