Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: New York, NY (Manhattan)

Contract Length: 13 Weeks

Shift: Day Shift | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Schedule: 3 shifts/week | 11.5 hours per shift (34.5 hours/week)

Pay Rate: $65 – $80 per hour

Position Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) for a high-acuity interventional cardiology unit in Manhattan. This role requires strong clinical judgment, advanced technical skills, and the ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced procedural environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with cardiac catheterizations, angioplasty procedures, stent placements, and pacemaker insertions

• Monitor and document patient hemodynamic status and cardiac rhythms during invasive procedures

• Administer and monitor conscious sedation per established protocols

• Respond rapidly to cardiac emergencies and procedural complications using ACLS standards

• Perform advanced IV starts, phlebotomy, and manage arterial and venous access lines

• Deliver pre- and post-procedure nursing care, including patient preparation, recovery monitoring, sheath removal, and access site assessment

Required Qualifications

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Cardiac Cath Lab RN experience (required)

• Minimum of 2 years of Critical Care experience (ICU or Emergency Department)

• Strong proficiency in IV insertion, phlebotomy, and conscious sedation

Education & Licensure

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN) from an accredited program

• Active New York State RN License

• Ability to provide Primary Source Verification via NYS Department of Education (NYSED)

Certifications

• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)

• AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
