We're seeking a Senior Project Manager to serve as the GEC Phase Lead for a large, multi-phase P3 project and help strengthen our position as a trusted partner to our clients.
In this role, you'll provide managerial and technical leadership for a major project segment during the pre-procurement and procurement phases. You'll lead multidisciplinary design coordination, advance technical scope development, guide procurement readiness efforts, and help ensure the project is positioned for successful Design-Build delivery. Working closely with client and program leadership, you'll drive alignment, support informed decision-making, and help manage project risks, constructability considerations, and delivery outcomes.
What you'll do

- Ensure technical scope is well-defined, coordinated, and aligned with client standards and requirements
- Partner with client and program management teams to support procurement readiness and resolve technical issues
- Identify, communicate, and help address design gaps, inconsistencies, and constructability risks
- Support the development of procurement packages and technical provisions
- Provide leadership on constructability, staging, and project phasing strategies
- Ensure delivery of high-quality, coordinated technical work across GEC teams
- Manage and coordinate subconsultants, including scope, performance, deliverables, and alignment with project objectives
- Oversee project budgets, resource planning, and schedule performance for assigned technical activities
- Support the transition from pre-procurement activities into procurement
Here's what you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- 10+ years of experience in transportation design and/or project delivery
- Experience on large infrastructure projects, including DOT, Design-Build, or P3 projects
- Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams
Ideally, you'll also have
- Experience supporting pre-procurement planning and procurement development for Design-Build projects
- Experience serving as a Design Manager, Owner's Representative, or in a similar project leadership role
- Familiarity with owner standards, procedures, and project development processes
- Experience with constructability reviews, staging and maintenance of traffic (MOT), and corridor-level design coordination
- Strong ability to lead complex, multidisciplinary project efforts
- Experience defining and structuring large infrastructure projects prior to procurement
- Strong cross-discipline coordination and integration skills
- Ability to identify and address project risks early in project development
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills with clients, program management teams, and project leadership groups
