Job Title: Registered Nurse - ICU Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in requested specialty License: Required RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, CPI (provided if not held) Must-Have: ICU skills in arrhythmia monitoring Knowledge of sedation, paralytics, and titratable drips Experience in CVP monitoring Familiarity with caring for patients post-craniotomy TPA administration CCRN and TNCC preferred Description: The ICU unit combines medical, surgical, neuro, and cardiac patients. Patient types include drug overdose, psychosis, myocardial infarction, subarachnoid hemorrhage, motor vehicle accidents, sepsis, acute respiratory failure, hypoglycemia, pneumonia, and suicide attempts. The unit is equipped with life support systems and advanced monitoring technology. Nurses will provide care for patients requiring critical interventions and continuous monitoring. There is a collaborative environment, promoting teamwork and mutual support among staff. Floating may occur to all medical-surgical and critical care areas. Weekends will be scheduled every other week. Holiday expectations are set at 70% participation. Requests for time off will be considered. Scrub color is navy.
