Staff Accountant
Location: Monroe, GA
Company: Tucker Door & Trim
Salary: $55,000 – $60,000
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday, 100% In-Office
Role Overview:
The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining financial procedures and ensuring financial compliance through accurate preparation of company reports and statements. This position plays a key role in accounting and financial operations and reports directly to the Assistant Controller. Key Responsibilities
Primary Focus Areas:
- Month-End Preparation: Assist with and perform month-end close processes
- Financial Reporting: Prepare, analyze, and maintain financial statements
- Production Reporting: Complete production reporting to support operational accuracy
- Payroll Processing: Perform payroll duties
- Perform daily accounting tasks including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting controls
- Communicate effectively with internal departments to meet strict timelines
- Deliver accurate and timely financial information to management
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)
- Strong understanding of accounting and GAAP principles
- Experience supporting or participating in audits (a plus)
- Highly task-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Excel and accounting software preferred
