Associate Attorney – Immigration Law
Location: Gainesville, GA – Full-Time, Onsite
Base Salary: $80,000–$100,000+, based on experience
Required: Juris Doctor (JD) + Active Georgia Bar License or Eligibility for Reciprocity

About the Opportunity
Our client is a well-established, locally owned law firm focused on Immigration and Nationality Law, Criminal Defense, and Family Law .
The firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Gainesville, Georgia office and manage an immigration law caseload from start to finish.
This role is ideal for an attorney who is compassionate, detail-oriented, and passionate about advocating for immigrant communities. You'll work closely with legal assistants and paralegals to develop case strategies, guide clients through the legal process, and represent them before Immigration Courts and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
What You'll Do
• Manage a caseload of immigration matters from initial intake through resolution
• Develop legal strategies and individualized case plans based on each client's circumstances
• Represent clients in Immigration Court hearings and USCIS interviews
• Conduct legal research and analyze relevant immigration laws and regulations
• Draft motions, briefs, petitions, and other legal documents
• Collaborate with legal assistants and paralegals to keep cases progressing efficiently
• Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case status, strategy, and next steps
• Provide clear legal guidance throughout the immigration process
• Maintain accurate case files, documentation, and deadlines
• Deliver professional, compassionate, and culturally sensitive representation
What You'll Bring
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Active Georgia Bar license in good standing or eligibility for reciprocity
• Strong legal research and writing skills
• Effective courtroom advocacy and oral communication skills
• Ability to independently manage a high-volume caseload
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management
• Strong client communication and relationship-building skills
• Commitment to providing compassionate and professional legal representation
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous immigration law experience
• Experience representing clients before Immigration Courts or USCIS
• Experience drafting immigration motions, briefs, and petitions
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
Compensation & Benefits
• Base Salary: $80,000–$100,000+, based on experience
