Accounting Bookkeeper
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team at Blue Table Investments. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting day-to-day accounting operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of our financial data and supporting the company's financial objectives.Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Key Responsibilities:
- Record and maintain accurate financial transactions in the company's accounting software, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of transactions.
- Prepare and process invoices, payments, and expense reports in a timely manner, following company policies and procedures.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue payments as needed.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities to support decision-making and planning.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting discrepancies and ensure accurate reporting of financial information.
- Support external audits and regulatory examinations by providing requested documentation and assisting auditors as needed.
- Stay informed about accounting best practices, industry trends, and regulatory changes affecting commercial lending operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, preferably in the financial services industry or commercial lending sector.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms; familiarity with loan servicing software is a plus.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to maintain organized and reliable financial records.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to reconcile accounts and troubleshoot discrepancies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA certification or equivalent.
- Experience with private equity accounting practices and fund structures.
- Familiarity with investment management software (specify if applicable).
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements for financial institutions.
