The Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting will be responsible for administration and controls of the key systems utilized by Finance including SAP Global Template and Blackline. In addition, the Senior Accountant will develop and maintain reports and report hierarchies used in quarterly financial reporting and assist the Financial Reporting Manager with Solvency II and NAIC/US Statutory close activities and filings.

Your Job :

Financial Reporting systems & reports

• Perform system administrator & SME functions for SAP GL & Blackline
• Troubleshoot SAP & Blackline issues
• Maintain general ledger functions including open & close periods, user access setup and termination, account and line of business hierarchies
• Perform quarterly report and hierarchy maintenance of key reports utilized by Finance in the close process
• Run, validate and distribute certain reports to the Parent Company, Finance department or other stakeholders
• Comply with internal control activities associated with the Finance systems and reports function

Solvency II reporting

• Create the quarterly Solvency II reporting calendar and request list
• Monitor key Solvency II activity and deliverable deadlines
• Validate key components of the Solvency II Economic Balance Sheet (EBS)
• Analyze quarter-over-quarter movement in the EBS
• Prepare the quarterly IFRS to Solvency II reconciliation
• Prepare the annual cash results template comparing actual vs. expected
• Comply with internal control activities associated with the Solvency II reporting process

NAIC (US Statutory) Reporting

• Prepare the quarterly statutory filing for our regulator, including cash flow statement
• Prepare the Annual Statement and supplemental filings
• Prepare the Audited Financial statements

• Collaborate with Business Transformation team on key Annual Statement schedules
• Comply with internal control activities associated with the NAIC reporting process

Your Profile:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
• CPA required
• 5+ years of professional accounting experience required
• 5+ years of experience with financial systems, included SAP and/or Blackline strongly preferred
• Insurance and/or financial services experience preferred
• IFRS and Insurance Statutory accounting experience a plus
• Public accounting experience a plus
