We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Insurance Coordinator to join our growing team.
Position Overview:
The Insurance Coordinator is responsible for verifying patient insurance, processing and tracking claims, and communicating clearly with both patients and insurance providers. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and brings a strong understanding of dental insurance policies and billing procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Verify dental insurance coverage and eligibility prior to appointments
Submit claims accurately and in a timely manner
Monitor outstanding claims and follow up on unpaid or denied claims
Interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and resolve discrepancies
Provide patients with clear estimates of insurance coverage and out-of-pocket costs
Coordinate with clinical and administrative staff to support treatment planning and scheduling
Maintain accurate records using Dentrix or similar dental software
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of experience in dental or medical insurance coordination
Proficient in PPO insurance plans, billing codes, and claim follow-up
Familiarity with Dentrix or other dental software strongly preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
High attention to detail and excellent organizational habits
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional dental or billing certification a plus
Work Schedule:
Monday through Thursday: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Friday: 7:30 AM – 12:00 PM
