Pastry Cook

Pay Rate: $18+ depending on experience

Druid Hills Golf Club is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Pastry Cook to join its team of exceptional professionals in the hospitality industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and designing a variety of delectable desserts, pastries, and confections. Responsibilities

• Prepare and design a variety of desserts, pastries, and confections
• Plan and manage pastry production schedules to ensure timely delivery and quality control
• Follow and maintain established pastry recipes and techniques
• Assist in ordering and maintaining inventory of pastry supplies, equipment, and ingredients
• Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to create innovative pastry menus for member events and private parties
• Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times, following health and safety standards
• Adhere to DHGC's high levels of service to provide a welcoming atmosphere to our members.

Requirements

• 2+ years' experience as a professional Pastry Cook or similar role in a high-volume kitchen
• Culinary or Pastry Arts degree or certification is preferred
• Proven knowledge of pastry techniques, including plating, decorating, and presentation
• High level of creativity and attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, to work effectively with chefs and kitchen staff
• Ability to prioritize and manage workload effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
