**What You'll Do:**
+ Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using appropriate verbal de-escalation or intervention techniques as necessary.
+ Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
+ Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and help maintain order within the government facility.
+ Communicate clearly with Allied Universal management, other staff, and local authorities as needed.
+ Observe and report any unusual activity, property damage, or maintenance needs encountered during patrols.
+ Follow all protocols regarding the proper handling and carrying of a firearm as required by the post profile and Allied Universal guidelines.
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ At least three years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience is required.
+ A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
+ Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
+ Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
+ Applicants must possess one of the following: a DD214 with honorable discharge, an associate degree or 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
