Associate Director, Coding Education

The Associate Director, Coding Education identifies opportunities to improve provider documentation and creates an education plan tailored to each assigned provider. The Associate Director, Coding Education requires a solid understanding of how organization capabilities interrelate across department(s).
The Associate Director, Coding Education reviews medical records and arranges educational sessions with providers aimed at quality of care and documentation improvements. Decisions are typically related to identifying and resolving complex technical and operational problems within department(s), and could lead multiple managers or highly specialized professional associates.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 6 or more years of technical experience
- 2 or more years of management experience
- CPC (Certified Professional Coder) Certification required
- AHIMA or AAPC CPC (Certified Professional Coder) Certification required
- Comprehensive knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Problem solve complex issues
- Guide business and leadership in process improvement
- Medical record review knowledge
- Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$94,900 - $130,500 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
