Brokerage Commercial Account Mgr
DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Grow written premium & revenue consistent with business plan.
- Develop and maintain positive and productive relationships with GFB agents, CSRs, and Brokerage Partners.
- Achieve profit level defined in business plan.
- Approve check requests for refunds to the insured (as needed).
- Oversee and complete the monthly agent change process.
- Ensure accurate agent commission level as defined by the commission schedule. Any adjustments made will be with oversight from the Brokerage Supervisor.
- Management of an assigned new business and renewal territory including timely and accurate delivery of renewal offers and new business proposals to GFB agents.
- Maintains acceptable renewal retention level for assigned territory in order to maximize profitability of GFB Brokerage.
- Analyzes new business submissions to gain thorough understanding of risk. Collaborates with agent/CSR to gather missing or additional information necessary to prepare & send formal submission to Brokerage markets.
- Determines which markets to submit business to. Reviews proposals received from markets and determines which quote provides adequate coverage that was requested. Presents new business proposal(s) to the agent.
- Successful achievement of Brokerage new business and renewal service standards.
- Recommends coverage enhancements and presents cross-selling opportunities to GFB agents.
- Requests binding of coverage for new business, renewals and endorsements.
- Remarkets renewal policies as needed. This position will be required to actively seek remarketing of renewals to improve the agent and customer experience and to ensure that the best, most appropriate coverage is being offered. Remarketing will also occur as a result of carrier non-renewal or cancellation.
- Analyzes, researches and ultimately resolves complex accounting discrepancies to ensure timely reconciliation of Brokerage accounting statements and reduction of Brokerage bad debt expense.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS:
- Maintain accurate and detailed files within the current AMS (Agency Management System) per the Brokerage Department Standards.
- Mentor peers with assistance regarding coverage questions as needed.
- Process policy change requests (as needed).
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Compliance with work flows and procedures.
- Assist with implementation of new markets.
- Must be well organized, be able to work under tight deadlines, be detail oriented and work in a team-oriented environment. Must possess excellent time management skills.
- Assist with training of employees.
- Run reports for data audits (as needed).
- Assist with weekly service results report with oversight of Brokerage Supervisor.
- Travel to county offices will be necessary to provide personalized training to GFB agents and CSRs.
QUALIFICATION, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a current Georgia Agents Property and Casualty Insurance License. Must maintain license in good standing while in this position.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required, preferably in Business, Insurance, or Risk Management.
- 5 + years commercial P&C experience.
- Achieve CIC designation by end of year 5 of employment.

Occasional travel may be necessary to visit county office locations, conferences/training classes and meetings.
