Our client, a growing privately-held flooring manufacturer in the Dalton, GA area, is seeking an experienced Senior Project Accountant to join its accounting team. With 50% growth this year and continued expansion expected, the company requires a dedicated professional skilled in NetSuite ERP to manage and enhance project-focused accounting operations.

The Senior Project Accountant will oversee project-based accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial management, compliance, and reporting. This role involves hands-on work with NetSuite and requires a well-rounded accounting background, particularly in manufacturing or similar industries.

Salary:

• Up to $100,000 base salary
• Discretionary bonus

Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and execute project accounting activities, including budgeting, cost tracking, and financial reporting, utilizing NetSuite ERP.
• Collaborate with project management teams to develop financial forecasts, monitor progress, and ensure accurate project-related financial outcomes.
• Oversee compliance with accounting standards and internal policies, maintaining accurate and timely records within NetSuite.
• Provide detailed financial analyses and insights to support project decision-making and cost management.
• Contribute to month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring project accounting entries are complete and accurate.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of accounting experience, with a strong focus on project-based accounting in manufacturing or a similar environment
• NetSuite ERP expertise is required
• Solid understanding of GAAP principles and hands-on experience with AP/AR, general ledger, and cost accounting
• Detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
