Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Pediatrics (Med/Surg Rehab)

Location: New York, NY 10037

Compensation: $2,850 – $3,050 per week

Duration: 13 Weeks (Estimated)

Schedule

• Night Shift: 8:30 PM – 8:00 AM
• 3 Days/Week (34.5 hours/week)

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Pediatrics (Med/Surg Rehab) to join a dynamic acute care team. This role involves delivering high-quality patient care, including pre- and post-operative support, medication administration, and patient/family education. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and adherence to nursing best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care
• Provide bedside care to pre- and post-surgical pediatric patients
• Administer and document medications accurately
• Perform clinical procedures (IV insertion, wound care, catheterization)
• Monitor vital signs and respond to changes in patient condition
• Operate and manage specialized medical equipment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for care planning and discharge
• Educate patients and families on treatment and recovery plans
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records
• Ensure compliance with infection control and nursing standards

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State RN License (Primary Source Verification required)
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited institution
• AHA BLS Certification
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Rehab experience in an acute care setting
• Recent experience within the past 1 year
• Strong skills in patient assessment, IV therapy, and wound care
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and post-operative care

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with EPIC EMR system
• Strong pediatric clinical and communication skills
