Job Details:

• Work in telemetry unit caring for adults to geriatric patients
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5 on days, nights, and weekends
• 36-room unit with average daily census of 35 patients
• Every other weekend schedule required
• Floating within facility/scope of practice as needed
• No call requirements
• Holiday work expected based on number of major holidays during assignment period
• Scrub color: Navy blue
• Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed
• RTO blackout dates: Spring Break (April 4th-12th)
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (NIH preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Epic charting system experience required
• Pyxis and SBAR knowledge needed
• Must manage cardiac drips including milrinone, dobutamine, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Lidocaine, Bumex, and Heparin (no titration)
• Care for patients with CHF, MI/chest pain, dysrhythmias, hypertension/hypotension, pleural effusion, sepsis, and PE/DVT/vascular issues
• Skills include telemetry monitoring, post-cardiac procedures, IV insulin protocols, wound care, tracheostomy care, and blood product administration
• Orientation hours vary by contract length
• Full compliance required to start on time
