A Roofing Sales Representative plays a pivotal role in driving the growth of roofing companies by identifying potential clients, conducting roof inspections, and facilitating sales of roofing services. This position requires a blend of sales acumen, technical knowledge, and excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients and ensure their roofing needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Generation and Prospecting: Develop leads through personal marketing efforts, company-generated marketing plans, and by canvassing neighborhoods to identify homes with potential roofing needs.

• Client Consultation: Meet with homeowners to conduct roof inspections, assess the scope of damage or wear, and provide detailed estimates and proposals tailored to the client’s specific requirements.

• Sales Presentations: Educate clients on roofing options, materials, and the benefits of the company’s services, aiming to build trust and secure sales contracts.

• Insurance Coordination: Assist clients in navigating insurance claims by working closely with insurance companies and adjusters to ensure all necessary repairs are covered and processed efficiently.

• Project Documentation: Accurately document project details, including photographs and notes, to ensure seamless communication with the installation and customer service teams.

• Customer Relationship Management: Maintain ongoing communication with clients to address questions, provide updates, and ensure overall satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous experience in roofing or construction sales is advantageous but not mandatory; comprehensive training is often provided for motivated candidates.

• Physical Ability: Comfort with heights and the capability to carry ladders and perform roof inspections are essential.

• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.

• Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate contracts and close sales while ensuring client satisfaction and meeting company sales targets.

• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with basic computer applications and the ability to learn company-specific CRM software for managing client information and sales activities.

• Self-Motivation: Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and achieve sales goals with minimal supervision.
