What We Look For In a Spanish 1 Tutor

• Curriculum Awareness & Adaptive Instruction: Familiar with Spanish 1 curricula aligned with ACTFL novice proficiency standards and common challenges such as ser versus estar usage, stem-changing verb patterns, and developing listening comprehension skills. Adapts instruction using TPR activities, visual vocabulary resources, and structured conversation practice to support beginning Spanish learners at middle school, high school, or adult levels.
• Effective Teaching Methods: Ability to identify concepts students commonly struggle with, explain material using multiple approaches, and adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles.
