Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Folder/Gluer Machine Operator with proven experience in the food packaging industry , specifically with folding cartons . The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and able to operate machinery efficiently to produce high-quality printed packaging products that meet or exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Machine Operation & Setup:

• Operate, monitor, and adjust Folder/Gluer machines to produce printed packaging according to specifications.

• Perform machine setup and make-ready tasks, ensuring precise control of feeding, take-over, inverting, and loading functions.

• Maintain consistent blank heights and feeding speeds; make necessary adjustments to optimize productivity and quality.

• Identify and resolve production issues or defects to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.

• Clear jams and ensure product runs at optimal speed and quality levels.

• Supervise general technicians working on related equipment.

Quality Assurance:

• Inspect jobs for quality and accuracy throughout production.

• Ensure all finished products meet or exceed customer standards.

• Complete and maintain all required quality checklists.

• Promote and support ISO standards and organizational quality goals.

Safety & Cleanliness (OHSE Compliance):

• Follow all company policies and procedures related to safety, PPE, and handling of hazardous materials/waste.

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety regulations.

• Use company-provided safety equipment properly and consistently.

• Comply with proper uniform guidelines and safety protocols, including lifting procedures and spill cleanup.

Team Communication:

• Foster a respectful and collaborative work environment through professional communication.

• Share accurate information with team members in a courteous, solution-focused manner.

Folder/Gluer Machine Operator

Qualifications & Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Minimum 3 years of Folder/Gluer machine operation experience in the food packaging industry (folding cartons required) .

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Basic computer proficiency and math skills (e.g., percentages, weights, measures).

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, climb, kneel, and reach for extended periods.

• Capable of frequently lifting items weighing over 30 lbs.

• Manual dexterity required to safely handle equipment and materials.

• Must have visual acuity including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.

• Ability to work flexible hours including rotating shifts and overtime as needed to meet production demands.
